Isn't POV pushing prohibited?[edit]

Hello - it seems that Philip C's opinion, personal point of view was expressed in what some would call blatant censorship here of the following text, which is accepted by many people all around the world as legit material. His deletion of all this material is quite obviously the pushing of his POV. So I am going to attempt to undo what Mr. Cross has done. It seems that, in accordance with the rules of this establishment, that POV pushing is prohibited here and that when quotations are removed they should at least be put up for discussion. Thank you very much. BestIzYet2Come (talk)

Last December, I removed several hundred quotes from Benjamin Creme and his Share International self-publication outlet. The individuals who added this content may well have had a conflict-of-interest; the extensive content was in inverse proportion to what appears to be his minor notability. Creme seldom, if ever, published via conventional imprints and only The Telegraph featured an obituary when he died. He had a reputation as an abstract painter for sure, but that does not mean endless content on his more fringe activities should be included here. Philip Cross (talk) 16:31, 27 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
So your uniformed, rather fanatical opinion is the law. Right. As if you were 1/1000 of any sort of authority on such matters. Absurd & ridiculous. BestIzYet2Come (talk) 03:03, 28 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
The Benjamin Creme article is currently at 201,331 bytes, plus multiple other articles derived from his self-published books. See Wikiquote:Quotability and Wikiquote:Policies and guidelines#Policies and guidelines from Wikipedia: "In addition to the generally accepted Wikiquote policies and guidelines listed above, policies and guidelines from the Wikipedia project usually apply equally well to Wikiquote." These include Wikipedia:Reliable sources and Wikipedia:Notability. Apart from the article already mentioned, anything appropriately mainstream to cite on Creme's theories are scarce to non-existent, see Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources for a fairly comprehensive list of those which are admissible. Given Creme's obscurity, it would appear this website has far too many Creme-related quotes already and I did not go far enough in my deletions. Complain about my edits on Wikiquote:Administrators' noticeboard if you wish. Philip Cross (talk) 10:16, 28 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
